Changes from 2.61.1 to 2.62:
New features:
- Added XPath extension function '
kp:matches', which allows to
test whether a string matches a regular expression in a
search with an XPath expression.
- Added XPath extension function '
kp:string-compare', which
allows to compare two strings lexicographically in a search
with an XPath expression (this allows for example to find
entries that have
expired in a specific time period).
- Added support for opening URLs with LibreWolf and R3dfox in
private mode.
- The
{CLIPBOARD-SET:...} placeholder
now starts the automatic clipboard clearing countdown (except when the text is empty).
- When closing a database, the search term in the 'Find' dialog
is now removed (this can be disabled using the
UIFlags bit
0x100000).
- After closing the attachment reimport dialog,
the temporary file is now renamed before reading, overwriting and deleting
it (this reduces the risk that the external application sees
the random overwrite data, if it is still running).
- Added two help links in the placeholders/commands box of the
auto-type association dialog.
- In the placeholders/commands box of the auto-type association
dialog, the key modifiers are now linkified.
- For each item in a list view showing custom data (of a
database, a group or an entry), the estimated size of the
value in the process memory is now displayed.
- In HTML exports/printouts, page breaks in rows are now
avoided, if possible.
- Added path validation for files extracted from a
PLGX file.
- The supported operating system versions are now declared in
the application manifest, which enables various Windows
improvements.
- KPScript:
added application manifest, which enables various
Windows improvements, improves the activation of Windows
common control theming, etc.
- KPScript: on Windows 11 24H2 ARM64 and later, KPScript now
runs natively, too (i.e. without x64 emulation).
Improvements:
- Improved list view refresh performance.
- Improved reliability of the automatic clipboard clearing
countdown.
- If the automatic clipboard clearing fails (e.g. when access
to the clipboard is blocked while Windows is locked), KeePass
now retries clearing it until succeeding.
- Unified clipboard access timeout.
- The quick search
terms list is now also cleared when closing
an inactive database.
- Improved behavior when closing the attachment reimport dialog
immediately after exporting an attachment to a temporary file.
- Swapped the keyboard shortcuts
Ctrl+D and
Ctrl+K in the main entry list (such that
Ctrl+D now duplicates the selected entries and
Ctrl+K compares them).
- Changed the keyboard shortcut for duplicating an auto-type
association in the entry dialog from Ctrl+K
to Ctrl+D.
- Improved enumeration of immersive windows.
- Improved linkification in the placeholders/commands box of
the auto-type association dialog.
- Improved custom font support in the auto-type association
dialog.
- Unified behavior of the [Close] and [X] buttons of the
database maintenance dialog.
- In the XML Replace dialog,
the [OK] button is now disabled
when the node selection XPath expression or the search text
(if necessary) is empty.
- Enhanced Microsoft Edge uninstallation detection.
- Improved normalization of new-line sequences.
- Improved activation of Windows common control theming.
- The DPI awareness is now declared in the application manifest.
- Improved ARM64 compatibility declaration.
- Improved Windows version detection.
- When running on .NET < 4.7, the SSL 3 support is now disabled
(when running on .NET 4.7 or higher, KeePass lets the
operating system choose the supported/enabled protocols, and
SSL 3 is disabled on most modern operating systems by
default).
- Some PLGX error messages are now more detailed.
- Upgraded installer.
- Various UI text improvements.
- Various code optimizations.
- Minor other improvements.
